1. Who we are

techthings.net is operated by Tech Things, LLC, a Louisiana limited liability company ("Tech Things", "we", "us"). Contact: hello@techthings.net.

3. Information we collect

Server logs. Like virtually every website, the servers that host techthings.net automatically record the IP address, browser type, requested page, referring page and time of each request. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, and are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period under its own policy.

E-mail. If you write to us, we keep your message and our reply so we can help you and refer back to the conversation. We do not add you to any mailing list.

Fonts. The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font file, Google receives your IP address and the usual request headers. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Analytics and cookies. We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, services of Google LLC, to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and roughly where they come from. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_*, kept for up to two years) and sends Google your IP address, pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device type and referring site. Google processes this under its own privacy policy. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising and we do not combine it with any other information about you. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, by blocking cookies for this site, or by using a browser that blocks trackers.

We do not use advertising, tracking pixels or social-media embeds on this site.

To operate and secure the site, to see which pages are useful so we can improve them, to respond to you when you contact us, and to comply with law. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.

5. Children

This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold, or to complain to a supervisory authority. Write to hello@techthings.net and we will respond.

We will update the effective date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes.
